About Us

The Grief Table Story

Hi, I’m Jamie. I’m a mom, a wife, a grandma, and a woman forever changed by loss. In June 2024, my 19-year-old son, Wendem, died in a tragic car accident, and my world shattered.

I started The Grief Table as a space where the real experience of grief could exist - not sugar-coated, not rushed, not fixed. I’m a grief educator who researches and teaches about the whole-body experience of grief, and I share that work on social media and at speaking events where I teach from the inside of grief, not the sidelines.

I can’t replace the love and light Wendem would have put into the world, but I can reflect it.

I also have two other adult children, a loving husband, and two grandchildren I am completely enamored with. It is my life’s passion to be in the grief world as a supporter, teacher, educator, ambassador, and most importantly, a grieving mom walking this path alongside you.

My hope is that you leave here feeling seen, understood, and less alone.
